About Edukate Systems

Director of Edukate Systems, Jim Higgins, has worked in the electrical and electronic industry for many years. He has worked as an electrician, technologist, manufacturer and teacher.

Teaching in TAFE for over 30 years has allowed Jim to refine his teaching techniques as he has delivered courses from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma levels. He has pioneered distance, on-line and flexible modes of delivery and engaged with students in schools, TAFE, and university both in Australia and overseas.

Jim and his wife Dianne founded Edukate Systems after experiencing a gap in the teaching equipment that was available at the time and determining that students learn best with access to a variety of techniques and equipment.

Since then he developed multiple learning units before combining his teaching experience and electrical knowledge to develop what has become the WES system. Jim's understanding of how students learn and the types of techniques and equipment which work in the classroom allowed him to produce the WES system, as an ideal model designed specifically to teach.
